Cool and breezy today. Rain in southern areas clearing eastwards for a time this morning, but possibly returning to parts of the south coast. Brighter elsewhere with scattered heavy showers, especially in western and northern areas.

Cold tonight, dry in many places at first with some clear periods. Showers spreading southwards overnight through much of Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster.

Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 C° with patchy frost in some midland areas.
