Three men will appear in court this morning charged in connection with the false imprisonment and serious assault of a man in Limerick last year.

The 53-year-old male was hospitalised following the incident in the city on September 14th 2015.

The men aged 32, 33 and 52-years-old are due before Limerick District Court this morning.

They'd been detained under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.
