At least 13 people have died and dozens have been injured following a large explosion at a petrochemical facility in Mexico yesterday.
The explosion happened in the city of Coatzacoalcos in the south-east state of Veracruz at around 3.15pm local time.
The plant is owned by national oil company Pemex.
The company earlier said more than 130 of its workers were injured in the blast.
Hundreds of people were evacuated and schools were closed following the explosion, with Reuters reporting that residents were advised to stay away from the site due to a 'dissipating cloud of toxic fumes'.
The cause of the blast remains unclear.
