Economist Colm McCarthy has said we are paying so many annual taxes now that they have become a 'pure nuisance'. Speaking to Shane Coleman on the Sunday show about the water charges he said a centralised system should have been set up to collect all the annual taxes from people and make life a little easier. Speaking about water charges he said 'paying for water is not an outrageous idea' but added 'it's been structured very poorly.'
