Today will be mostly dry and bright with some good sunny spells in places.

A few light scattered showers will occur in some areas but it should feel warm, with maximum temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees.

Tonight will remain mostly dry, with clear skies. A few isolated light showers may occur along north and northwest coasts.

Patches of mist and fog could form in some areas, and minimum temperatures will be between 8 and 12 degrees.

Weekend Outlook

Tomorrow will be warm and humid, with some good sunny spells in the east and south at first.

Cloud will increase from the west during the morning, however, outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move in from the Atlantic. These will mainly affect parts of Connacht and Ulster and some coastal areas of Munster.

Elsewhere is will be very patchy with some hill and coastal fog developing also.

It should be warm day over all with maximum temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees.

Saturday night will see a band of rain crossing the country from the west, with southerly winds veering westerly by Sunday morning.

These westerly breezes will bring fresher but mainly dry and bright conditions for Sunday, and temperatures will fall back again to between 16 and 20 degrees.
