Using the camera on Rosetta’s lander, the European Space Agency craft posed for a selfie last week, while zooming around the Churyumov–Gerasimenko comet it will soon attempt to land on.
The image was taken on Sunday, about 50 km from the comet, and captures the side of the Rosetta spacecraft and one of its 14 meter-long solar wings.
It seems Rosetta isn't camera-shy, as the image below is a composite of two separate pictures. That's why ESA has been able to reproduce this incredibly detailed shot of the probe and comet:
