Ten people remain in hospital at Kerry General this lunchtime following a road traffic accident in the county.

The accident occurred outside Tralee near Fenit at just after 8 o clock last night.

Ten people were injured when two cars crashed near Fenit, just outside Tralee.

They range in age from 11 to 67 years.

They were admitted to Kerry General hospital, one person is understood to be in a critical condition.

A technical examination of the scene was undertaken by Gardai this morning.

The road has since reopened.
