A teenager has appeared in court in Limerick charged with raping and sexually assaulting a 7-year old girl.
The accused recently completed his Leaving Certificate exams. He appeared before Limerick District Court charged with two counts of rape and 13 counts of sexual assault.
The offences are alleged to have occurred in Limerick and Clare between August 2010 when the accused was 15 in December 2011.

The accused has been granted free legal aid and remanded on a number of strict bail conditions.
He is to appear in court again in October.
