A sixteen-year-old teenager has died, one week after he fell from a tractor in Sylane, near Tuam, County Galway. 

The teenager was injured last Wednesday and taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for treatment.

He passed away this morning and Gardaí said a post-mortem would take place “in due course”.

The teenager is the 129th person to die on Ireland’s roads this year.
