Gardaí are investigating a number of violent incidents in Galway City centre overnight.
A teenage boy has been arrested following a spate of assaults, robberies and a stabbing were reported at several locations between 2am and 3am.
At around a quarter past two this morning, a 38-year-old man told officers he had been threatened by a man with a knife on the Headford road.
Gardai then received a call that two men in their 20's had their wallets and mobile phones stolen as they were threatened at knife point - that incident also occurred on the corner of Headford Road.
The suspect left in the direction of Wood Quay.
Emergency services were then made aware that an 18-year-old man had been stabbed in the stomach at around half two on Wood Quay - the teenager was taken to University College Hospital Galway where his condition is described as non life threatening.
Gardai were given a description by a number of witnesses and a 17-year-old boy fitting that description was arrested at 3am in Eyre Square.
He is being held at Galway Garda station today.
Detectives are still appealing for anyone with information to contact the station where an incident room has been set up - the public can also call the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
