The Deputy Leader of the Labour Party says she's happy the Taoiseach has set out clearly what contact he had with executives from Anglo Irish Bank.

It follows an article yesterday in the Sunday Independent that detailed emails a former Anglo executive claimed to have shared with Enda Kenny in November 2008 - when he was in opposition.

Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin have both called for the Taoiseach to give a full explanation about what happened.

But Minister Joan Burton has told Clare fm she doesn't see the need for clarification:

Opposition parties - including Fianna Fáil, who were in government at the time - have called on the Taoiseach to make a full statement on the matter.

But a spokesman for the Taoiseach has "completely rejected" any allegations that Mr Kenny misled the Dáil over his communications with the bank.
