The Taoiseach has refused to rule out an election pact with Labour.
Speaking after the last Cabinet meeting until September, Enda Kenny said his intention is still to hold the election in 2016 - and that both parties want to secure the economic recovery.
He says that the matter of an election pact with Tánaiste Joan Burton’s party is something ‘that will be looked at later’.
Enda Kenny says the Coalition is strong - and could be renewed after the next election.
The Taoiseach's comments came after ministers from Fine Gael and Labour both dismissed suggestions that they should campaign in the next general election with a joint manifesto.
Labour's Jan O'Sullivan said the two parties should campaign on different platforms, while the head of Fine Gael's election committee said there have been no talks.
