Thousands of people have signed a petition to abolish a so-called 'tampon tax' in Britain after it was debated by MPs on Monday night.
Currently, sanitary products are classed as a luxury item and have a 5% VAT charge.
British Prime Minister David Cameron says little can be done because of European Union rules, but has agreed to raise the issue with the European Commission.
Journalist Susie Boniface - also known as Fleet Street Fox - thinks it is totally unfair.
While Tory MP Andrew Rosindell thinks this highlights a wider problem.
"It's wrong that the EU prevent us from having a zero rate - whether it's sanitary products or anything else" he said.
"The principal is right: that our elected British government should decide what the levels of VAT should be" he added.
