Outbreaks of rain over the western half of the country will turn more persistent this morning and the rain will gradually spread eastwards. In the afternoon it will continue to rain in the east of the country but the weather will gradually clear from Connacht, west Munster and northwest Ulster; there will be a final clearance by evening.
Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in moderate southerly breezes.
