It will stay misty and mostly cloudy though with the best of any sunshine in the north.

Later in the day rain will turn persistent again in the south.

Highest temperatures ranging from 6 or 7 degrees in the north to 11 or 12 degrees in the south, in just light easterly or variable breezes.

Outbreaks of rain in the south tonight, but mainly dry further north with clear spells.

Lowest temperatures will be between -1 and +2 degrees in Ulster and north Connacht, between 3 and 6 degrees over central areas and between 6 and 9 degrees in the south.

Wind will stay light and become mainly easterly.
