Cloudier conditions with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the Atlantic coastal counties will extend to most parts this afternoon.
Rain will become persistent and locally heavy in the northwest this evening.
It will be a little milder than of late, with afternoon highs ranging 6C to 9C degrees in general, but 10C or 11C degrees along the Atlantic Seaboard in freshening south-westerly breezes.
Tonight
Relatively mild and breezy tonight, with a band of persistent and locally heavy rain spreading south-eastwards over the country.
That will be followed by cooler and more showery conditions. Lows of 3C to 7C degrees. Gusty moderate to fresh south-westerly winds, strong to near gale near coasts, will veer west to northwest as the rain clears.
