Revenue officers have seized 12,920 smuggled cigarettes at Rosslare Europort.
As part of of routine operations on Thursday, they were found with the assistance of detector dog Eva when an Irish-registered vehicle was stopped and searched.
It had disembarked a ferry from Cherbourg.
The cigarettes were concealed under parcels for delivery by courier.

They were branded 'Marlborough' and 'Kent', with a retail value of over €7,000.
Revenue say this represents a loss to the exchequer of around €5,700.
A Romanian man aged in his 30s was questioned, and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) with a view to prosecution.
