At least one person has been killed in a terror attack in the Austrian capital of Vienna.
A police officer is among several people injured in the attack, which is believed to have been carried out by multiple suspects.
The Austrian state broadcaster ORF earlier reported that several people were killed and one suspect was arrested.
Police have confirmed one death.
Earlier, police said the operation was ongoing in the city centre and the public was urged to avoid all open spaces and public transport.

Police tweeted: “There are several injured persons.
“We are on site with all available forces. Please avoid all public squares in the city.”
It is believed the attack happened on the same street as the city’s main synagogue; however it is not clear whether the house of worship was targeted.
