The operation involves the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB), the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation, the national Bureau of Criminal investigation and the Garda Drugs Unit.

Gardaí say a series of arrests have been made.

Among those detained were 4 men and 1 woman under European arrest warrants.

They were brought before the High Court this morning.

They are now being held at a number of Garda stations in Dublin and Meath.

Gardaí say the operation is focused on the criminal activities of a number of selected targets.

It is also still on-going.
