A security alert is underway in Buncrana in Co. Donegal.

Gardai evacuated the scene after a suspicious device was found at the Tullyarvan Mill in the town.

A number of people have however been told to remain in the Mill pending the arrival army bomb disposal experts.

No further details have been released by Gardai.
