A 43-year-old man charged with the murder of his two young sons has appeared in court in Co. Roscommon.

Sanjeev Chada did not speak during his brief appearance this morning. He was at Harristown District Court outside Castlerea Prison.

The bodies of 10-year-old Eoghan and 5-year-old Ruairi were found in the boot of his crashed car near Westport last month.

Sanjeev Chada has been remanded in custody to appear at the court again on September 13th when the book of evidence will be served.
