The 25 millionth person has seen Riverdance live at the weekend. Andreas Eschemann took in a performance in Munich where he was told the good news and given a trip to Dublin this summer.

Riverdance was first performed during the 7-minute interval of the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 at the Point Theatre in Dublin in 1994.

It was later named as one of the most popular interval acts in the history of the contest.

Riverdance continues to be performed and seen all over the world.

More than 1,600 Irish dancers broke a Guiness World Record back in July when they danced to the iconic Riverdance along the Dublin Quays.

Whike the US First Family also took in a show at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin back in June.

Mr. Eschemann explains how he ended up in the audience, and what makes the show so special.
