Cigarettes, tobacco, alcohol and a car have been seized by Revenue officers in Dublin.

The goods were obtained following the search of a number of premises under warrant in the Dublin area.

A total of 23,420 cigarettes were seized, along with 6.6kg of illegal tobacco, and 68 bottles of vodka.

The combined retail value for the goods was over €18,000 and represented a potential loss to the exchequer of around €14,000.

Investigations are continuing with a view to prosecution.
