Revenue officials have seized 48-thousand euro in cash at Cork Airport.

The discovery was made when customs officers stopped and searched a non-national who was boarding a flight to Amsterdam.

The man has been detained by officers who have been granted a three month detention order by Cork District Court this morning to carry out further investigations.
