The families of the victims of the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan Bombings are to take a civil action against the British government. The group lodged papers in the High Court in Belfast today.
They claim the attacks in which 34 people were killed were carried out by loyalists with government collusion.
No-one has ever been prosecuted in connection with the bombings.
The launch by Justice for the Forgotten comes just before the 40th anniversary of the attacks this weekend.
The 2003 'Barron Report' found that the gardai had failed to properly investigate the bombings and had closed their inquiries prematurely.
British security forces are believed to have colluded with the UVF who claimed responsibility for the attack. But the British government has refused to release security files that relating to the incident.
Margaret Urwin is a spokesperson for Justice for the Forgotten. She says they are taking their case reluctantly, but they feel they have no choice.
