The brother of Garda Tony Golden says he died a 'hero' who will never be forgotten.
The State funeral of Garda Tony Golden, held in Blackrock, Co Louth today, also heard the entire nation mourns his death.
Garda Golden was shot dead in the line of duty on Sunday - as he protected domestic violence victim Siobhan Phillips.
The congregation today heard he was 'a gentle giant' - mourned by an 'entire nation.'
Patrick Golden, brother of Tony, said: "Tony, you will be greatly missed by all. You will never be forgotten. Goodybe, Anthony, my brother. Husband, father, son and hero."
