Pope Francis is meeting the US President Barack Obama on his first ever visit to the country.
The Pontiff climbed into a Fiat 500 after flying into Maryland last night - reinforcing his message of humility and environmentalism.
During his six-day three-city visit, the 78-year-old will also address the US Congress and the United Nations.
He was greeted by Mr and Mrs Obama.

The two men are to hold talks on issues including income inequality, social justice and climate change.
Tomorrow the Pontiff will address a joint session of the US Congress before departing for New York City, where he will speak before the United Nations General Assembly on Friday.
President Obama welcomed him and some 15,000 people to the arrival ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House.
He also priased the Pope for setting good examles for us all.
