A poll released this morning shows that Alan Shatter's reputation has taken a severe beating following the recent Garda Gate crisis.

The Irish Times/IPSOS MRBI poll shows that public confidence in Alan Shatter is at an all time low.

82 percent of voters say they are unhappy with how the issue was handled adding that the Minister for Justice's credibility is at all an time low.

The former Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan doesn't fare much better with nearly 80 percent of participants severely critical of the Garda head.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny's reputation also comes into question with 70 percent of respondents saying that his credibility has been damaged beyond repair.

The survey took place in face to face interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday with one thousand voters aged 18 and over at 100 sampling points in all constituencies.
