Violence has broken out at polling stations in Afghanistan as millions vote for a new president.
Polls opened earlier as the country votes to decide on a successor to President Hamid Karzi, but despite the threats and disruption from the Taliban in some provinces, there is still a large turnout.
Security is tight in the country as elections take place.

Yesterday, a western photographer was killed and a reporter was seriously injured in a shooting in the east of the country.
