A UK primary school has been running a scheme in which its pupils run a 'daily mile' in an attempt to improve fitness and concentration levels.

Teachers at St Ninian's in Stirling, Scotland, choose random times in the class schedule when students run a specially built circuit around the school's playing field for just one mile.

The initiative has been in place for the past three-and-half years, and now the school claims that none of its pupils are overweight as a result.

A report published earlier this month showed that seven out of 10 children attending an obesity clinic at a Dublin hospital say they have been the victims of bullying.

Researchers at Stirling University are looking into whether the scheme should be rolled out nationwide in the UK, so we want to know if you think schools in Ireland should follow suit.
