Police investigating a stabbing that left four people wounded in the German city of Munich have arrested a suspect.

Authorities said on social media that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

The suspect - who was described as a man in his 40s - fled the scene on a black bike, prompting police to launch a manhunt.

People were urged to avoid the area while officers searched for the suspect.

It was later confirmed that a suspect had been arrested, with police saying it was uncertain if he was the culprit.

Officers say the motive for the incident is currently unclear.
