Police have released images from CCTV footage of a man believed to be responsible for a hammer attack on a teenage girl in the UK.

A 17-year-old girl is still in hospital after sustaining serious injuries from being struck on the head on the evening of April 11.

Police suspect that the attack may have possible links to the sex trade and have since provided personal safety advice to local sex workers through local charities and support groups
