A pathologist who examined the body of Marioara Rostas (18) has been giving evidence at the trial of Alan Wilson who is accused of murdering the Romanian teenager.
The Central Criminal Court has heard the remains of the teenager were discovered in a shallow grave in the Wicklow Mountains four years after her disappearance.
She was last seen getting into a car at the back of Trinity College at around 2pm on Sunday 6th January 2008 while out begging with her younger brother.
Today the jury heard evidence from former Deputy State Pathologist Dr. Khalid Jabbar.
He said he was called to Kippure - a wooded area in the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains - on January 23rd 2012, after gardai discovered the teenager's body.
Dr. Jabbar gave evidence that her body was in a foetal position and completely wrapped in dark plastic bags.
From the post mortem he concluded that she died from four gunshot wounds. Three wounds were to the front of her head, one was to the left temple.
Today was day two of Alan Wilson's trial. Wilson (35) of New Street Gardens denies murdering Marioara Rostas at a house on Brabazon Street in Dublin on the 7th or 8th of January 2008.
The trial before Mr. Justice Patrick McCarthy is expected to last from three to four weeks.
