Paedophile Gary Glitter has been recalled to prison after allegedly breaching the terms of his probation, Britain’s Probation Service has said.
Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, was released from prison in February after serving half of a 16 year sentence for sexually abusing school girls.
“Protecting the public is our number one priority,” a spokesperson said.
“That’s why we set tough licence conditions and when offenders breach them, we don’t hesitate to return them to custody.”
Glitter was at the height of his fame as a pop star in the 1970s when he committed his crimes.
