Today

Today will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain in many areas, heaviest in the south Leinster with a risk of spot flooding.

The best of any drier periods will be in northeast Ulster.

Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with mostly moderate easterly breezes, but fresh and gusty along Leinster and Ulster Coasts.

Tonight

Tonight will continue mostly cloudy with further outbreaks of rain, which will be heaviest over the eastern half of the country with a continued risk of spot flooding in places.

Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees.

Status Orange - Rainfall warning for Tipperary and Waterford

Heavy rain during the period will cause spot flooding. Accumulations in excess of 50mm possible in some parts.

Status Yellow - Rainfall warning for Kilkenny, Wexford and Cork

Spells of rain during the period with spot flooding likely.

Both warnings valid until 6pm.
