The President of the EU Commission, Jose Manuel Barrosso, will join the Taoiseach at Dublin Castle for the event.
200 Irish citizens will then take part in an open talk with the EU's Vice President Vivianne Reding and Ireland's Minister for European Affairs Lucinda Creigton.

Speaking in Dublin last night, Ms Reding said the Commission wants the public to have a greater say in the decision-making process:
