It’ll even scrap the webmail service’s famous name – which was introduced in 1996 – rebranding it as Outlook.com.

The new service will also incorporate communications through social networking accounts and eventually Skype.

Microsoft claims e-mail has become a chore, as our inboxes are overloaded with newsletters and spam.
