Someone in Co Kildare is after scooping €500,000 in Friday night's EuroMillions Plus draw.

The National Lottery is asking players to check their numbers after it was revealed the winning ticket was sold in the Tesco store on the Maynooth Road in Celbridge.

Store manager, Pat O'Sullivan, said there is great excitement in the area.

"We're absolutely delighted with the news. Its's great for the Celbridge area, especially in the lead up to Christmas.

"I have no idea who it is. We have lots of regular customers and at this time of the year, with business being a lot busier, it may be someone from further afield.

"But I really hope it's a local here in Celbridge. I hope the winner or winners put the money to good use".

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers were 03, 10, 37, 48 and 50.

There was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot worth €126,429,055.

This will now rollover to an estimated €135m next Tuesday December 19th.

Meanwhile the National Lottery has again appealed to players in Co Meath to check their tickets to see if they are the winners of the EuroMillions Plus prize of €500,000 from the draw on Tuesday September 26th.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at Kilmoon Service Station in Ashbourne.

Players have 90 days to claim a prize - but because of the Christmas holidays, players have until close of business on December 28th to make their claim.

A spokesperson said: "Time is running out. We are urging everybody to check their tickets so they don't lose out on a possible incredible win."
