A man has been arrested after an oil laundering plant was uncovered in Co Monaghan.

In an intelligence-led operation last night, Revenue officials - supported by the gardaí - uncovered the facility at Drumboat in Inniskeen.

The plant had the capacity to launder approximately 20 million litres of fuel per year.

Toxic waste was also uncovered in the operation.
