Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton formally launched her second bid for the presidency of the United States in New York on Saturday, and was received by a rapturous crowd.
She promised prosperity for all Americans and said democracy and wealth 'can’t just be for CEO’s and Hedge Fund Managers', She also told the crowd that she was 'running for all Americans.'

Hillary Clinton is the forerunner in her Democratic Party for the nomination, against competition from former governor of Maryland, Martin O'Malley. Polls currently have her in the lead to be the next president amid a mishmash of several prospective Republican candidates.
Opinion editor with The Guardian US, Megan Carpentier, says Clinton’s race against the fragmented Republicans at this point is like David against Goliath:
"David took Goliath out with one stone but he needed one good stone, and if you're constancy shooting at everyone else around you, you're not going to have it."
She also says Martin O’Malley will face opposition from the electorate due to his Catholic faith – much like Mitt Romney’s Mormon religion was a problem for him in 2012.
