The streets outside Croke Park became a “river of urine” after Oasis performed because there were not enough toilets, one concert goer has said.

The Gallagher brothers performed to a sellout crowd on Sunday evening, with tens of thousands travelling from across the island to see them.

On Lunchtime Live, Oasis fan Sinéad described the gig as like an “out of body experience”.

“It was like nothing I’ve ever been to - it was incredible,” she said.

“Oasis were immaculate; the sound was so good, the people, the vibes were just amazing.

“I can’t sing high enough praise.”

Sinéad continued that it was a “really tight squeeze” going through the Croke Park tunnels.

It was just as difficult to get out if you needed the bathroom.

“I literally couldn’t get out,” she said.

“It actually took me an hour to get to the toilet and I missed the first few songs.

“So, I was fairly raging.”

Sinéad added that there were simply not enough female toilets available.

“When you were coming in, that was the only place that women could go to the toilet,” she said.

“When you go into the stadium, there was a rake of urinals for men behind the stands - so, men were catered for.

“But women couldn’t go to the toilet.”

Things did not improve when the gig ended.

“Afterwards, everyone was leaving to go to the toilet and there was literally no toilet [available],” she said.

“There was just a river of urine; I felt very sorry for the people that were living around Croke Park because I’d say it absolutely stank the next morning.”

Croke Park has been contacted for comment.
