Nurses and midwives are threatening hold further strikes if their pay dispute isn't resolved.
The INMO Executive Council is meeting tomorrow to discuss further industrial action on top of the five days already announced.
37,000 nurses staged their first 24 hour strike on Wednesday leading to thousands of appointments being cancelled.
The union says the government hasn't made any "serious proposals" to avert more strikes, adding they've been forced into this position.
In a statement today, the union said: "Nurses and midwives do not want to be on strike for one minute, let alone several days.
"But sadly we have been forced into this position by a government which refuses to listen."
Members' update: the INMO Executive Council will meet tomorrow (Saturday) to discuss further dates for strikes, beyond the dates already announced: 5th, 7th, 12th, 13th, and 14th.
The government still has not made any serious proposals to avert further strike dates. (1/2)

The next strike days are planned for Tuesday and Thursday next week.
Further strikes have already been announced for February 12th, 13th, and 14th.
The dispute centres around issues of pay and conditions, with the unions' members saying challenges with recruitment and retention have "made it impossible for us to do our jobs properly".
The Government, meanwhile, has claimed it cannot afford to give a pay rise to nurses as that would lead to similar pay claims across the public sector.
