The number of people with COVID-19 in Intensive Care Units around the country has risen to its highest level since the end of May.
47 confirmed cases are receiving treatment in ICUs across the country.
Six people have been admitted to the critical beds in the last 24 hours, with one person discharged.
That's compared to figures as of 2pm yesterday which show there were 41 patients being treated in ICU.
As of 8am this morning, there were 328 people being treated for coronavirus in hospital following 16 new admissions in the last 24 hours.
Infectious Disease expert Dr Jack Lambert says vulnerable patients have ended up in ICU because others have let their guard down.
Dr Lambert added that people need to wear masks in almost all situations to avoid a third lockdown.
He also called for a strategy to exit Level 5 safely, and to stop it happening again.
He added that the Government is not emphasising "low tech" solutions like mask-wearing and social distancing as much as they should be.
Dr Lambert said: "Using masks is proper in all situations where you can't social distance, and that's most situations in urban communities outside and inside.
"Wearing a mask in the community where you're a young adult so you're not bringing it home to your vulnerable grandmother or vulnerable aunt or uncle who has risk indicators for COVID."
