As many people look to embrace new healthy habits for the new year, some forget simple changes to their digital lives.

Some small changes can make a big difference, and even save you money.

Newstalk's technology correspondent Jess Kelly told Breakfast taking 15 minutes out of your day is worth it.

"These are all baby steps that'll make a big difference".

"The first one you can do will not only make your life a little less cluttered, but it could also save you money.

"At some stage today everyone should set aside 15 minutes to go through and unsubscribe from services you don't use".

"If you're not getting value from these services, go in and unsubscribe - you may still get to use [until] the end of the month if you've already paid for it and so on".

"And also go through any newsletters that you've signed up to and you never read".

"Take 15 minutes, go through and unsubscribe from all of the junk.

"That tiny little 15 minute window will pay back in dividends throughout the year when you're not getting junk, clutter and charged for stuff that you're no longer using."
