Attention all iPhone users:

Are you sick and tired of your phone having a mind of its own when it comes to changing from portrait to landscape, left to right, up and down etc. when reading an article or looking at photos?

It has come to light that a lot of people do not know this can be brought to a halt.

When you are on the homepage of your phone double click the home button – this shows you all of the apps that are currently open on your phone.

If you swipe to the left you will see your iPod functionality appear – to the left of this is a padlock enclosed in a circular arrow.

If you tap once on this magical icon you will never have to worry about your phone getting the better of you ever again – it locks to the portrait position and therefore your iPhone will no longer randomly swing around.

You can change this back at anytime by following the above steps again and unlocking the padlock icon.
