A man in his 40s has died in a motorcycle crash in Donegal. 

On Sunday afternoon, Gardaí and emergency services were called out to the R262 near Glenties and the man was given medical treatment. 

He was pronounced dead a short time later and local diversions were put in place to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to examine the scene. 

Any witnesses have been asked to contact Letterkenny Garda station.
