Police say they have rescued the mother-in-law of Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone from kidnappers.
Aparecida Schunck was taken from her home in Sao Paulo in Brazil on July 22nd.
Brazilian media report that her captors demanded a ransom of 120 million reais (€33m) to be paid in pounds, with the cash divided into four bags.
According to police, no money was paid and Schunck was freed after investigators monitored phone calls between kidnappers and her family, and traced her to a farmhouse near Sao Paulo.
"She is in good health [and] two people have been arrested," said the head of the Sao Paolo police, Elisabete Sato.
Kidnappings are quite common in Brazil. Up to a decade ago, several people would be seized each day in the country, often for sums of just a few hundred dollars.
A crackdown by police and the creation of the special anti-kidnap division has significantly reduced the number of kidnappings in the country.
67-year-old Aparecida Schunck is the mother of Fabiana Flosi.
Flosi married Bernie Ecclestone in 2012, three years after meeting at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Their marriage followed Ecclestone's divorce from his then wife of 25 years, Croatian model Slavica Radic.
