A mother has appeared in a UK court charged with murdering her twin children on St Stephen’s Day.
37-year-old Samantha Ford appeared at Canterbury Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with the murder of Jake and Chloe Ford.
She was remanded in custody until Monday where she will appear at Maidstone Crown Court.
The two young children were found dead at their home in Margate, Kent in the early hours of the morning.
Ms Ford was involved in a car crash and hospitalised less than an hour before the twins were discovered in the home.
She was treated for minor injuries and police visited the house out of concern for the children’s welfare.
They were taken to hospital but were pronounced dead.
