Dry in most places today with sunny spells, and top temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

Cloud will thicken in the west and north this evening and outbreaks of rain and drizzle will push in from the Atlantic early tonight.

Mostly moderate westerly breezes will be fresh to strong and gusty near west and northwest coasts.

Tonight

Outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the west and north will gradually extend elsewhere tonight and overnight in freshening west to southwest winds, strong and gusty at the coasts.

A transition to clear spells and showers will take place in parts of Connacht and Ulster before dawn as winds veer northwesterly.

Lows of 10 to 13 degrees.

Mist patches, and hill and coastal fog will also occur.
