Amnesty International has said Russia is guilty of some the most "egregious" war crimes it has seen in decades.

The human rights organisation claims Moscow's warplanes have been deliberately targeting civilians and rescue workers in Syria over the last week.

Jeb Bush has ended speculation about his chances of making it to the White House by suspending his campaign to run for president.

The Republican fared poorly in earlier contests in Iowa and New Hampshire and said the race had been "hard fought" but that voters of those three states had spoken.

At least six people have been shot and killed in Michigan in a series of apparently random attacks.

Three people have also been injured in the attacks, which happened on Saturday night, according to NBC News, which quoted the sheriff's office.
